Poster Submissions for the 2023 PPS Annual Convention

  1. The poster presentation is open to Fellows, Diplomates, Fellows-, and Residents – in – training of HAB – accredited hospitals, NCR cluster members, and PPS Chapter members
  2. The research should be original and must have been conducted within two years from submission. Inclusion of the study period in the Methodology is a requirement.
  3. Abstracts submitted abroad and those that have NOT won the first prize in previous competitions may be accepted.
  4. All research designs are acceptable except for case reports and case series and should involve topics related to pediatric health.
  5. All submitted posters will be screened by the Poster Committee members and the qualifiers will be presented virtually. The six highest scoring abstracts will be entered in the Poster Contest.”
  6. Each abstract must be submitted to the PPS Secretariat, Quezon City in seven (7) clear copies, typewritten, 8.5 x 13 bond paper, font 12 with no more than 300 words.  Another copy should be emailed to these email addresses:
    • a. ppsannualconvention@gmail.com and
      b. pps60.postercommittee@gmail.com

    with the Subject Heading: ABSTRACT FOR POSTER PRESENTATION.

  7. Deadline for abstract submission will be on or before January 25, 2023.
  8. The Abstract should contain the Title of the study; Authors’ names and institutional affiliations (to include email address of the principal author); Background and relevance; Objectives; Methodology (to include study design and study period); Data analysis; Results; Conclusions and recommendations.
  9. Mechanics of the Contest
      a. Poster finalists will be chosen by the Poster Committee members from submitted abstracts using an approved set of screening criteria. b. The abstracts that garnered the first 6 highest scores will qualify as finalists to the contest.
      c. The Committee on Poster Presentation shall announce the qualifying papers on February 7, 2023.
      d. The abstracts will be converted into video formats and submitted to the judges for pre-judging using another set of criteria.

      e. Finalists will prepare a 3 – minute video presentation to be submitted on or before February 15, 2023 for prejudging.
      f. During the contest each video poster is allowed to have a maximum of 3 minute-presentation.
      g. A poster presentation contest with a graded Q and A will be held and recorded on February 24, 2023, with each judge fielding one question each. Only the judges are allowed to ask questions.
